Many people have this preconceived notion that Fitness Trainers have been fit all their lives, but in reality, this is not always the case. Many of us have a story (stories) that have brought us to where we are in our life & career.
Most of my life I had been active, including being in the Army National Guard & Army Reserves. Life took its toll when I became a stay at home mom in 2002, and hit hard late spring of 2002 due to health issues, then pregnancy. By my 7th month I topped the scales almost 300lbs and quit looking. After, my son was born, I stayed at 230-226 despite my own efforts. I decided enough was enough. I joined an all-women’s gym and started working with a Trainer. Halfway through, it inspired me and made me realize this was what I wanted to do, help others fighting the same battle.

Why Do You Enjoy Training?
I enjoy helping clients reach their goals & succeed. They are accomplishing so much & they have invited me to be part of their very personal journey. I have been where most of my clients have been & know the struggles that are very real. Watching them get stronger, gain back self confidence and regain their health is wonderful.
What Is Your Favorite Vacation Spot?
I love Thailand & the time I lived there. So many spots there that are beautiful, relaxing and fun for vacation.
What Is Your Favorite Movie And Why?
Hmmm... I love reading more than I like watching movies, but I do like Fried Green Tomatoes, Shawshank Redemption & The Color Purple, if I am in the mood to watch something serious, though I much preferred the books. I really can't explain why I like them so much. Also, Monty Python & The Holy Grail or Mel Brooks movies, because life is too short to be serious all the time, we all just need time to step back and have a good laugh.
What Is The Most Important Thing To You?
My family & friends. I would be lost without my hubby & son! Aside from people, Honesty, Trust & Laughter.
What Is Your Favorite Sport And Why?
Cycling. I love feeling free & being outdoors.
What Inspires You?
My Clients & my own health & fitness journey.
If You Could Do Anything, Bucket List #1, What Would That Be?
Travel! There are so many places I did not get to visit while I was living overseas & I would love to be able to explore more & revisit a few of the places I did see.
What Do You Consider To Be Your Greatest Accomplishment?
I would have to say reaching my own goals of losing 100 lbs, regaining my health & my self confidence. It was a hard journey and one that I am continuously on.
