Be A Food Snob
If you don't love it, don't eat it! Easier said than done but if you think about it this is very sound advice!
Spend your time finding your favorite foods and leave those that are only so so on the table. Scan the buffet for foods you truly wait to enjoy during the holidays and skip the everyday dishes that are around all year long. Remember, it is not your responsibility to sample everything on the buffet. Go ahead and indulge in your personal holiday favorites, then find a seat and, slowly and mindfully, savor every mouthful.
