Holiday parties, tempting food, and festive drinks … ‘Tis The Season!  From now until the end of the year we will share some tips to help you enjoy this wonderful time of the year with your friends and family AND keep your healthy living goals on track!

Tip #1

No Skipping Meals

On a day when we know we might indulge because of a party or event often we try and "save up" our calories, bad plan!

You should eat normally leading up to the party or event.    When you "save up" your calories you tend to be more hungry than usual and that can lead to impulsive overeating.   Eating sensibly throughout the day helps take the hunger edge off and can empower you to show restraint at the site of a sprawling array of holiday goodies.  Not a bad idea to have a small salad or light snack before heading out ... if your stomach is not aching for food your mind will have more time to make good decisions!
