Hello there, my name is Brianna. I am 24 years old, and I am a NASM certified personal trainer. My passion is to help others achieve their fitness goals.

The Past: Growing up, I was not taught the importance of being physically active nor of healthy eating habits. What was, ‘working out’? My family’s philosophy on food: The more you eat the healthier you are. I remember seeing things like Fitness magazine and though that lifestyle intrigued me as a child, I thought it must not be realistic to stick to, nor important. Most adults I knew would make jokes about paying for a gym membership that served as nothing more than another tag to their keychain. In elementary school, I disliked P.E. I was not naturally coordinated, so making team sports in middle school were a no go. By HS, I struggled to find something that would count toward my required P.E. credit! By college, I became sedentary and my metabolism did not keep up with my poor lifestyle habits. With my body changing, I started to compare myself more and more to my healthier counterparts. I would attempt be active, especially while taking kinesiology courses. I began with the treadmill. It was nice. I couldn't shoot a hoop or hit a ball over a net to save my life, but at least I could run. It felt good. Yet, I would always start, lose a few pounds, then stop, start, stop again, but nothing would ever stick. It wasn't until I had a summer job that required me to be active and realized, “I have no energy”. No desire to move. Why did my brain feel foggy, and why was I sluggish all the time?

The change: Eventually, something changed internally but not overnight. I realized that I did not have to lead the lifestyle I had been raised to follow. I began to educate myself more about the food industry, nutrition, and exercise. I started to take group exercise classes at my university’s rec center. I took conditioning classes, yoga classes, and after being intimidating by it for so long, I started to lift weights. I shopped around to discover what I liked and disliked and would find that I loved the feeling of challenging my body and mind in any way! Little by little, just taking it day by day, I noticed change. Change in my body, my energy, and my attitude toward life in general!

Growth: It hasn't been a perfect journey. I've had my fair share of bumps along the road. Even after 4 years of living an active lifestyle, that voice STILL creeps in. “What if I stop?” “What if one day I just completely give up?” But that voice doesn't scare me. It's not about what I "think" might happen, but about what I know. I'll tell you what I know. I know I love what I do. I know how movement makes me feel. I know that I do not want to lose what I have gained. What I have gained is knowledge, perspective, passion, self-love, and much more. Finally, I know I want to aid others in accomplishing their own goals.

Accomplishments & Goals: After I graduated college, I obtained my 200hr yoga instructor certification, I received an education to coach indoor rowing, and I earned my personal trainer certification. I am looking forward to continuing learning. Currently, I am taking college courses, and eventually I would like to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

To You: I know it's hard. It's hard to start, to know where to begin. It's hard not to feel silly during the process, especially if you do not have a strong support system. I also know it's easy. It's easy to let fear hold you back, to doubt yourself, to think "What if I can't?".

But I am here to tell you, I will be part of your support system and your education system. I will be there to ask you, “But what if you CAN?” Because of course you can! Have limitations? Okay, let's figure out a way to work with or around those limitations, so you can still pursue what you’re striving for. I want not only to get you in the best shape of your life, but help you believe that you have the potential to do anything you put your mind to. I want to know who you are and what works for you. Together, let's set the strong foundation it takes and build the way up toward your inevitable success!
