Hello, my name is Nakita Zano.  I am a native of Houston, Texas however, I am currently located in Austin, Texas. I have a background in Athletic Training, which is a focus on the care and prevention of athletic injuries, as well as strength and conditioning. I developed a passion for health and fitness through my own personal experience as a student athlete for several years.  From there, I knew my passion for sport and endurance activities combined with my educational history would allow me to thrive in a one on one environment with clients and/or teams.
 
My experience and knowledge in specific areas such as gait mechanics, weight lifting, Olympic lifting, speed and agility progression have all allowed me to reach a variety of individuals in achieving their personal aspirations. I truly enjoy sharing my gift with others wanting to live the healthiest way possible.

Hello there! I am so excited to be a personal trainer with For U Fitness! Let’s start with my background and how I became a trainer.

Growing up, I was always active. Whether it was in sports or just playing with my friends and neighbors. I also had an older brother who was very athletic, so it was my goal to be better than him or at least keep up with him! We are a bit of a competitive family.

Throughout my childhood, it never crossed my mind whether I was having a healthy lifestyle or not. You don’t have to worry about that when your mom makes all your meals and you’re participating in three hours of sports every night after school. But as soon as I got to college, things started to change for me.

 I personally love training others and myself because having such an active passion and being fit/healthy is super motivating to me. I have learned that maintaining a steady mind and body relationship is key to both happiness and good health.


Having an outlet like fitness and strength training has astonishing mind and overall health benefits. I have struggled with an autoimmune disorder and depression over the years. I have seen a dramatic decrease in my pain and in my depression during exercise and post workouts. I have also seen my clients battle through life obstacles more clearly and focused after improving their health and fitness. Those kind of benefits are the most rewarding to witness as a trainer.

I was asked to tell you how I describe myself, in one word it's ... MOTIVATED.

I'm not the best in the world, but I believe in being my best. I try my best to be educated and be an expert in everything that I do, so I spend a lot of time researching (aka "geeking out").

I'm a huge nerd, I'm inspired by childhood heroes like Luke Skywalker and Indiana Jones. In my teen years I actually played a lot of Dungeons & Dragons if you would believe it...!

My biggest goal is have as many adventures in real life as possible.
