Welcome Dakota! | For U Fitness

8/15/2019

Picture

Hello, my name is Dakota and I’m an ACE certified personal trainer! I live in lake Oswego Oregon right now, but I grew up in Albany Oregon. So far this has been the best area I’ve ever lived in because I’m surrounded by nature. I love being outside and doing outdoor activities like swimming, paddle boarding, snowboarding, walking my dogs and just relaxing in the sun with a book in my hand. My soul passion in this life is to advise, assist and coach others about how to live a healthy lifestyle that is best suited for them. I’m also a bit of a nutrition nerd and love learning about how nutrition can heal the body and prevent diseases. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned to help more of you on your health journey!

4 Tips For Geting Back On Track After A Holiday Weekend

5/28/2019

Picture
Don’t bring the holiday home with you. Leave all goodies and desserts at the party or if the party was at your house, make guests a doggy bag and send leftovers home with them. If it isn’t in your house you can’t eat it!

Get back into your routine. Do not let the holiday spill into your week. Be intentional on Monday morning. Get up, drink water, and make yourself a healthy breakfast to kick off your week the right way. Don’t let the lure of holiday slothfulness stop you from being successful.

Tighten your belt. Consider cutting sugar, grain, and dairy out entirely for a week or two following your holiday. It’ll give you an awesome jump start to getting back into your groove and you’ll see wonderfully encouraging results, fast.

Don’t sweat the small stuff! Didn’t make the best choices over the weekend? Disappointed with the number on the scale? It’s okay! Just don’t let the disappointment take over. Give yourself a little grace and get back up on the horse. Even if you have to re-lose five pounds you already lost, don’t sweat it. It’ll come off fast if you’re intentional about your diet for the next couple of weeks!

Say Hello To Brooke! | For U Fitness

1/10/2019

Picture

Hello everyone! My name is Brooke and I live in the Spokane, Washington area. In a nut shell, I am a wife, dog mom, military member, lover of the outdoors and overall fitness fanatic!

My love for fitness started in High School as a cross country and track athlete. From there I went on to study 4 years at the United States Air Force Academy where I continued my love of fitness by joining the Marathon and Aerobic Fitness Instructing Clubs.

Throughout my 5 year military career, I have learned a lot about myself as a leader and mentor. Although working full time, my fitness aspirations continued by instructing classes and generally immersing myself in the industry after work hours. I have now been active in the fitness world helping others for almost 7 years!

Guiding people toward their health and fitness goals is truly my biggest passion in life and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to pursuit something I love. I can't tell you how excited I am to work with as many of you as possible!

Hello Austin, and For U Fitness followers! My name is Angie Helvey and I am proud to say I am a south Texas native! I grew up in San Antonio, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology, and have lived here ever since. I have been teaching and coaching high school students for the past six years.

My passion is training, educating, and motivating others. There is nothing more fulfilling in life than helping someone reach a goal they never thought was possible. I am personally motivated by competition and have fallen in love with the sport of Crossfit. I also enjoy other leisure activities such as sand volleyball, hiking, card games, jamming out in my car, and taking care of my fur baby, Dougy.

I have accomplished a lot in my life - winning a high school state championship in volleyball, graduating college with honors, and (don't laugh!) learning how to cook. The science of nutrition is my nerdy guilty pleasure and has helped me reach my own fitness goals.

I am thrilled to meet and assist you on your fitness journey. I guarantee we will have fun while working hard and accomplishing your goals!

In the Austin area and want to see if Angie is the Personal Trainer you have been searching for?  Contact us today, we are here to help you reach your health and fitness goals whatever they may be!

Say Hello To Nicole! | For U Fitness

My name is Nicole and I live in Austin. I first started playfully working out to my Mom’s  80’s fitness videos when I was around five years old and unbeknownst to me sparked a love for fitness that would help shape my future.

Throughout my life I played every sport imaginable and when I graduated high school I was offered a basketball scholarship to a nearby Junior College. During my years of playing high school and college sports I learned so much and made many meaningful  connections and friendships along the way.

Now I have the opportunity to connect with so many different people on a daily basis.  I strive to give my clients a great workout every time we meet.

I love to teach and help others achieve whatever fitness goals they may have.  During our time together we will incorporate balance, strength, flexibility and stretching. You will leave feeling strong, challenged and excited for our next session!
